| ProfitBase is Management Studio for creating a data warehouse (for combining information from multiple databases for cross database reporting) and for easy management of both your Dimension Trees as well as your OLAP cubes.
With ProfitBase creating a data warehouse (DW) and managing your OLAP cubes has never been easier. And you can still use your favorite SQL-based report writer (i.e. XL Reporter, SQL Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, etc) to report on the ProfitBase data warehouse. What's so special about ProfitBase? (1) Pre-Built connectors. First off, ProfitBase has pre-built connectors to various modules in the Dynamics ERP systems, so that going "live" happens even quicker and easier. (2) Adding databases. ProfitBase also has an easy to use Management Studio (MS) for easily mapping any other database (i.e. Access, SQL db's, etc), so adding other databases to the DW will be much easier. (3) Managing the OLAP cube. The MS makes modifications to the OLAP cube more user-friendly, so that an IT person can manage it, instead of needing an OLAP developer for changes. (4) Finally, the MS allows the user to create and manage the Dimension Trees. As a result you can potentially go live with an OLAP/DW solution in a few weeks instead of taking a few months.
